4th International Conference on Financing for Development – Youth Participation Application Seville, Spain | 30 June – 3 July 2025

Progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has veered off course. For instance, decades of advancements in reducing poverty and hunger have slowed significantly, and in some regions, these gains have even reversed. Meanwhile, many developing economies are grappling with overwhelming debt, which hampers the critical investments needed to advance the SDGs. However, within these challenges lies a promising opportunity. Specifically, the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4) offers a vital platform to overhaul financing systems at all levels, including efforts to reform the international financial architecture. Notably, the International Conferences on Financing for Development stand alone as the only gatherings where leaders from governments worldwide, alongside representatives from international and regional organizations, financial and trade bodies, businesses, civil society, and the UN System, come together at the highest levels. As a result, these events foster enhanced global cooperation.

To ensure youth voices are heard, the United Nations Youth Office is sponsoring up to five young individuals (aged 18-35) to attend the FFD4 in person.
